What is your opinion, Ladies? Do you think it is fine to bare your big belly on the beach, or should you keep it covered?

We have a beach condo reserved in August...we have a family reunion of sorts planned. I figured I would do as I did for my last pregnancy...wear a bikini top and shorts (they are actually swimwear shorts). I said something to my friend about it, though, and she acted horrified that I wouldn't be covering my bump. Am I the crazy one, or is she?

I personally don't care either way. It's not like your pregnant belly is a sexual part of you and must be covered. Whatever keeps you comfortable in the heat.

I don't have anything against it But I don't even wear a bikini when I'm not pregnant so I definitely won't while preggo!

I think its totally up to you!! When I was pg with my daughter I went to the beach at 8 months I covered but only because I had a cute swimsuit my mom got at thrift town.

Same here. Plus people will find it even more irresistible to touch my tummy, eeeww.

What?? Why would you want to cover that beautiful belly up?? As long as you are comfortable, I say go for it! I agree with pp; it's not like it's a sexual part of you.... Hope you have fun at the beach!

Nope all bare. I don't feel like it's something that should be seen as embarrassing or shameful. Like the other ladies said it isn't a sexual part of the human body.

We camp and boat all summer, so I am going to need to make this decision. I definitely don't have a problem with it, not sure how comfortable I will be personally, though.
