The hubby decided to be a sweetheart and let me sleep last night. He got up with the baby and gave him the pumped milk I had in the fridge. I slept uninterrupted from 11:30 to 7am. I woke up panicked but refreshed. My breasts were THROBBING! I immediately pumped bc the baby was still sleeping. I got 5oz from each breast which I have never ever made that much before.

So will this happen every night? What happens when the baby starts sleeping longer? Im concerned that its not healthy to let them get so engorged.

As the baby grows, the feeding naturally start to spread out, and your body adjusts accordingly. No worries!

And, kudos to dad for getting up with baby and letting you sleep!

You may have a little bit of engorgement at first, but it shouldn't be as bad as what you experienced this morning.
