This evening my family had a little get-together for my mom's birthday. Coincidentally, this weekend Alexander hit another cluster feeding run; he's been on the boob every 1-2 hours during the day (thankfully he's still sleeping well at night!).
So I pretty much missed my mom's birthday party because I was in my grandparents' guest bedroom nursing every hour. I didn't even get a cupcake.
I have a 13 year old nephew who's at that age where the idea of BFing freaks him out and he doesn't even want to think about his favorite aunt having boobs. In respect for his discomfort I go into another room to nurse which isn't an issue when we're on a normal 3-ish hour feeding schedule but, well, on days like today it's really tough.
*sigh* Just a little rant. I got to take some cupcakes home with us at least, which is good because I made them and they're chocolate malt cupcakes which I just love.
I feel your pain, too! I'm so frustrated today I'm ready to cry. As soon as he falls asleep, he's up again to eat. I'm tired, my boobs are tired, and this LO is NOT sleeping well at night. I feel like I don't even have time to pee between feedings, and I'm just out of patience for this. I'm happy to see your post and feel I'm not alone!
