I don't know what "new" is since I wasn't pregnant 8 years ago!
I only have two shirts left over from my last pregnancy, unfortunately I let a "friend" borrow all my stuff and she sold it all in a garage sale...
Last pregnancy I didn't get any maternity stuff until around 15 weeks I believe. I remember it was when I got to the point where all of my shirts just looked too tight and were creeping up in the front. I think this time around I may need pants a little sooner but honestly, I hate maternity pants and don't want to go buy any until I have to! Until then I will probably transition into more leggings and dresses!
My fav maternity jeans were Gap. I liked the "Heidi Klum" line of stuff at Motherhood Maternity a lot...much more stylish than their regular stuff. I like the Liz Lange shirts from Target, but their pants seem to run HUGE.
Unfortunately, I don't think many of the pants that I have will fit. I am starting out this pregnancy smaller than my other two..and by 8 and 10 weeks each time I as already busting out the maternity jeans. This time... I'm still have to comfortably fit in even size 6 skinny jeans. It's very strange...I'm definitely showing already..but am not outgrowing my regular pants....baby's just pushing all my insides up into my stomach I guess. I'm not sure when I'll be wearing them....I would imagine within a month.
Not sure what all has changed I mainly just wore oversized shirts and sweatpants last time since I stayed home. This time I wanted actual maternity clothes so I bought some maternity shirts the day after I told DH I was pregnant. I haven't been able to wear ANY of my regular pants for at least 2 weeks. And the maternity shirts are SO comfortable compared to my t's that are already tight! So I would say I've been in maternity clothes since I was 7 weeks along if not a little earlier.
I'm about 5"10 and it was almost impossible to find maternity pants before. I looked on Old Navy.com and they did have some pants in talls, and not too bad of prices either! I'll have to check them out.
Right now, I'm in yoga pants... I'm only 7 weeks so not big enough for maternity, but too big for my pre-pregnancy pants... My shirts still fit though. Last pregnancy, I didn't wear any until at least 15 weeks. I agree about Old Navy jeans they're super comfy. I get a lot of stuff off ebay. Really cute clothes for cheap and I don't mind pre-owned at all.
Just got back from buying my first maternity clothes- my MIL gave me a gift card to Motherhood- I was really dreading it- but they're actually ok. Sooo comfy after battling regular jeans/pants for a while.
