I think I have this so I'm bringing it up with my doctor tomorrow. I guess it's caused by too much relaxin too early in your pregnancy. I have even had the tendons behind my knee do funny things a couple of times, like they are just popping out of place. It doesn't seem that severe, but I got out of bed a certain way last night and now I feel like I am having a flare up and my pelvis will fall out. Ugh. Anyone else have this with pregnancies? I know I had it at the end last time and for a long time after he was born. It didn't go away right away.
I had it with Kate. It started at about 32 weeks. It got so bad for me that my Dh had to help me get in and out of the shower because I couldn't lift my leg high enough to get in the tub. A chiropractor can provide some relief but not much. There is not much you can do til baby is born and mine stuck around for about 3 weeks after Kate was born.
I would make sure to mention the knee thing specifically though because SPD only effects your pelvis and should not be effecting your knees. That might be a seperate issue so I would mention it seperately.
I do! I mentioned it a few weeks ago. The later in the day, the less I can move. Some nights I just lay in the floor and cry in pain. Its horrible. But there isn't anything they can really do to make it go away. I found that more women who are on their 3rd,4th and so on are more likely to get it as well.
You're right Deb, I've had it with the last four babies and it's worse every time. It's just now starting to flare up for me, and by the end of the day I'm worthless..My doc has already prescribed narcotic painkillers for it, although I also need them for my bersitis in my hips...bleck..Sorry you're going through this MJ, it really does suck!
Yup. I see my chiropractor for it. I feel worse that day, but so much better for a couple days after. I had it with my other boys as well, but not my daughter oddly. It did start a lot earlier this time around (about 6 weeks ago). Hope you find relief soon!
