How are you going to do it? It will be the first weekend of March that we tell everyone, if things are going well, and I think we will tell our little boys the night before but I need some ideas!

We just sat them down at dinner one night and asked if they would like to have a baby sister or brother. And they both said "you asked us that before and we said Yes" in a sarcastic tone. So we then told them "well you are getting one because mommy has a baby in her belly" They both screeched and were super excited. Then we told them that wasn't all that sometimes there are 2 babies...and my 6 year old cut us off saying "When there are 2 it's called twins!" We told him he was correct and that's what mommy was having. They are super excited about 2 babies.

After we gave them the news we let them announce to the rest of the family the next day. My DD-4 would say "mommy has a baby in her belly" and then my 6 year old DS chimed it "it's really 2 babies, she's having twins!" Everyone got a kick out of the kids announcing the news!

My four year old saw me drinking orange juice, and asked why, so I told him that I'm sick. He asked why, and I said "because I have a baby in my tummy."

And now every time he wants juice he says he's sick because there's a baby in his tummy, and he needs juice to feel better, lol. He hasn't said in front of anyone yet, though..

We're telling everyone on Monday, most likely, so I'm not worried about it.

With our parents we just called and told them. Nothing cute just letting them know. Our youngest two really don't get it but our 4 year old is super excited. We told him that I have a new baby in my tummy (at first he kept thinking we were talking about when our youngest was in my tummy because he can remember that) Then we told him that the baby is tiny now (showed him with our fingers) but that it will grow and grow and make Mommys tummy get really big. He got a kick out of that. He has told a few people now and he gets so excited telling them about the tiny new baby in Mommy's tummy.

OH! I just thought of a fun idea! We are going to be holding a brunch for a family activity that day and I think (if I can hide my tummy up until then!) that I will replace the fortunes in some fortune cookies to say things like "You will be welcoming a new member of the family soon."
