(I'm not too sure if I'm doing this correctly. Do I have to PM someone to join this DDC? Maybe I'm being Magoo, but I couldn't find a protocol to join. :3)
Hello, hello! My name is Stella. I've been with DH for years and we have a grade school age child together. We've thought about having another baby for years, but there just never seemed to be the right time. Then, last month, we just decided to go for it and it happened! (I literally felt like I was pregnant in the first couple of days. I just somehow ~knew.) We're so very excited.
We decided to share the news with everyone (very early, I know, but my husband couldn't keep it in, lol) this past week and some of their reactions were a little upsetting. First of all, both of our families are dealing with drama (completely separate), so we got some lukewarm to sour reactions to the announcement. (My sister's boyfriend -- whom I have NEVER even spoke to, by the way -- said, after laughing nastily about it, "Yeah right, I'll believe it when I see the piss test." How disgusting! I felt so icky and grossed out by his reaction. I fail to see how it's any of HIS business! Vom.)
My first appt was last week and I am scheduled for another next week for more testing. (Goodness, I hope they don't take anymore blood!) Lol, I don't remember going through so many tests with my first child. The appt last week stretched over two days.
I am 7 weeks along and my due date is October 9 - 11. The two nurses gave me separate due dates, even though I gave them both the same LMP date. So IDK?
This entry seems really long winded so I will end it with saying that I'm very glad to be here and I wish you all happy and healthy pregnancies!
Congrats and welcome to the DDC, and no there isn't a need to pm anyone to join lol. Sorry you've been receiving mixed reactions to your BFP but as we know it happens all to often. Do not let that spoil your joy. Congrats again and feel free to jump right in.
Congrats and welcome! I am in the same boat as you! Our daughter will start Kindergarten in the fall. We never wanted anymore, but the day after we decided we would "discuss the idea" I got pregnant! We are so excited for you, even if your family wasn't. Glad you're here!
Congrats and welcome to the DDC! We're glad to have you join us! I'm sorry you didn't get good reactions from your loved ones, that's got to be tough to deal with. I'm sorry they were so insensitive... but we'll be here to cheer you on!
