So Gabby started out the first of this week having sniffles. Jr had ear infections, and cold like symptoms, and Gabby picked it up from him. Well, she continued to get worse, so we took her to the dr, and she tested positive for RSV. She was just on breathing treatments, and I was having to suction the junk out of her nose, and stuff, and she seemed to be getting better. Was eating better, and way more alert. Then last night she just took a turn for the worse, so I called the Dr's answering service, and they told us to come to the hospital. They went ahead and admitted her. She was dehydrated, and early this morning started running a fever.
We could use all the positive thoughts and prayers y'all could send this way. I just feel horrible, like I didn't do enough to prevent this, but I kept Jr away from her the best I could...we have a small house, and he's just a baby, too...I didn't want to gate him away from the whole rest of the family. We should see the dr. around 2:00 they said.

:-( That sucks that she's sick like that. Definitely saying prayers for a quick recovery! Keep us posted as to how she's doing.

Ugh... I totally feel you on that one. At least one person has been sick in our house since early January and now Thatcher is sick too. I tried to keep Haidon at bay. Made sure she wasn't coughing around him and we did extra hand washing, but it's nearly impossible with a toddler. We took him to Urgent Care on Saturday because he has this horrendous cough. Thankfully he doesn't have RSV, but the cough is pretty bad (and it makes me feel awful every time he has a coughing fit) and I am hoping it passes soon.

The doc at Urgent Care said the vast majority of babies get through RSV just fine, so I am sure she will come out of it with no problems. Just keep positive.

Thanks everyone. Gabby seems to be doing a lot better since we got here. Just getting her rehydrated helped so much. The doctor last night said she looked really good to her, but it was the first time she'd seen her since we got here, so she wanted to see her a couple of more times so she'd have a comparison. The nurse this morning said she sounded really good to her when she listened to her chest and everything. You can tell she feels a lot better...she was real lethargic when we got here, and now when she's awake she's smiling at everyone.
Just praying she continues going the right way, and we can take her home with us soon. I don't know what to think because we thought she was feeling a lot better Saturday...she'd started eating and all of that, but then took a turn for the worse Saturday night, so we're just praying we don't go backwards again...
Thanks again for y'alls thoughts and prayers...will update again when I know more.
