Well ladies I just got my 3rd beta back and things are not great and I am freaked out although my RE doesnt seem concerned.

My HCG was at 178.7 and Progesterone was at 58.51...

My doubling time between HCG #1 and #3 is still ok as it is under 3 days, but between HCG #2 and #3 it is almost 4 days. My RE said that because we havent given it another full 3 days we dont have a good comparison for that number...so now I go back in on Wednesday to find out if we are having a miscarriage or not and man that word just scares the crap out of me... I dont even know what I would do. I am not spotting at all anymore...it was just that one time, so that is good right?

Ugh...someone please tell me it is going to be ok because right now I am not feeling alot of hope although I do still feel like our baby is with us!

Shoot, I'm sorry to hear that your numbers weren't more reassuring. What DPO/DPR are you? I will be hoping you get some nice, higher numbers on Weds and you can put the beta worries behind! Go up beta numbers, go up up up!

I've still got high hopes! It's hard to wait, but if it helps at all... with my last little one (I can't remember if you had the other thread about this or if it was someone else, because I mentioned this already) my little guy, I had really low numbers that just were not increasing at the normal pace. My OB was even preparing me for a miscarriage, especially since I had just MC'd right before conceiving my son. The numbers were scary low... but low and behold, he stuck anyway! Keep the hope, my dear!! Sending thoughts and prayers...

Im in the same boat. My first set (12 and 14dpo) 65 hcg and 178 hcg, were great, tripling even. between 14dpo and 16dpo, 178 and 338, they were at a 2.8 day double rate. I go in Wed for my 4th. I don't feel very optomistic at this point, as with all my sucessful pregnancy's my betas doubled under 48hrs until they reached 10,000. But I have seen MANY women on these boards go on to have healthy baby's with less than perfect betas.

Praying you get better results with your 4th.

I'm sorry your numbers have left you with more questions than answers . It is reassuring that your RE wasn't too concerned though. Please keep us posted on your fourth beta- lots of sticky dust your way!

Alicia- I just want to give you a hug. Don't freak out just yet. Beta's are a weird thing. We are told they have to at least double but a lot of women go on to have healthy normal babies with numbers not doubling in the 48 hours. Stay strong and positive. I'm saying a prayer:-) You are going to be just fine

i am unsure about betas. Kind of glad now that i didnt get them done, cuz it might be alot of unneccessary worrying! relax till you get the new set. if your gut is saying your baby is still in there thriving, then id trust that for now. As for bleeding, i had that w both of my pregnancies. this one was immplantation for sure. just a tad, and w my son, i had it happen twice w implantation, thought my period was on its way! and then alot of bleeding a couple weeks after i found out i was pregnant. and he is a very healthy 17.5 month old!

Don't stress out too much!! My one gf was just saying today that her numbers in the beginning were super low and didn't double properly. Her doc told her to expect a miscarriage and now she's 7 months along

Her advice of the day was - remember this is everything to you, but they are not nearly as sensitive because they see it everyday. It's good to listen to what they have to say, but what matters most is between you and your lil' bean
