I had my anatomy scan appointment yesterday . Overall it went good . Just one thing that baby has a Choroid Plexus Cyst on on side of the brain . DD also had it at my 20 weeks scan .Doctor said that the cyst should go away in a few weeks so I'll go for a follow up at 25 weeks . She said that even if it stays , its not an abnormality and many healthy people have it . I am still worried and hoping really hard that it goes away .
Also , I wanted to stay on team green but I accidentally saw the parts . Well we are on team Blue !! I never would have guessed that . All my intuition said that I was having another girl. DD keeps telling everyone with high confidance " that's my little sister in my mommie's tummy " . So I know it will be hard on her . It was hard for me as well as I didnt have a brother and have only DD so I feel like I don't know anything about boys and may be feeling a little detached . I started crying as soon as I knew it was a boy . I know I will come to be very happy very soon . And of all things in the whole wide world I know that DH has always wanted to have a son. So I am very happy for him . I haven't told him yet though His birthday is coming and I'll surprise him with Father-Son matching neckties and the ultrasound picture of the parts ! I'll post ultrasound pictures soon !
awww congrats! How exciting! I'm sure team blue will rub off on you! I had all brothers growing up so when I had Keira I felt like (and still sometimes feel like) I don't know how to handle all of her little emotions! lol!
I've heard of those cysts a lot too and it seems like they pretty much always resolve on their own! Still- it's so hard as a mom to not worry about everything even when we know we shouldn't!

Congrats on your boy! DS was the first boy on my side of the family for 2 generations and DH had only sisters so we didn't think we knew anything about boys either. But, they're really not all that much different! You will do great.
Awww, matching ties is such a sweet idea!! Sorry about your team green gone blue! I have heard of that happening just by accident several times because those babies squirm quick! It's okay to grieve the loss of the idea of a girl - I know how it is, ha. I have no doubt that that little boy will have you wrapped around his finger in no time.
Thanks guys ! All the assurance and talk really helps I am very worried about the cyst but can't really do anything till my next ultrasound .

Thanks ! That's right , I was looking at the screen at the baby's face and in a fraction of a second the baby turned and was all out with both legs up in the air and the "pee-wee " sticking out there like a third leg The technitian blurted "sh**" and "Did you already see that ! I am so sorry !"
My step-daughter was really hoping for a little sister (she has 4 brothers at her mom's house), but 3 u/s have now confirmed that he is indeed a he. In the car the other day SD said, "Well, it could still be a girl." Probably not my dear, unless she has a 3rd leg
Awww....I love the idea of the necktie gift!!!! He's going to be thrilled!! Boys are awesome, and I'm sure you'll become a natural once he's here. It is quite an experience raising my boys and one that I cherish. I grew up with two younger brothers, and I LOVED it, too, so I think you're DD will once she adjusts to the fact that he's here! I'm actually surprised at how nervous I'm feeling about having a girl at this point, LOL! You're going to be a wonderful boy mommy!!!
