I used my last period as the start of the pregnancy like the doctors did... but the ultrasound measured he's a bit bigger than what the due date proclaims.

Granted it's only by two days.. the doctor isn't changing it on her charts but in my head I keep thinking of the second date instead of the first

Anyone gone through this? Should my ticker reflect the period guess or the ultrasound measurement of my baby?

I would go from December 3 to December 1

Thanks

Measurements aren't am exact thing. Most machines will say +/- 3 days. In the end it doesn't make a difference since its an E(estimated)DD.

Yeah, the ultrasounds measurements are not an exact science. My babies always go through a slow patch around 7-8 weeks and measure small but measure big at early and later ultrasounds. Babies grow in spurts.

My guess based on O was Dec 20th. My Dr's at my first appt based my betas was 21st. Then my first US showed Dec 19th based on gestational sac size.

Finally at my last US it showed 18th based on baby size. SO I'm no officially Due the 18th.

I would go with whatever your DR says. That will be the official due date.

I was measuring ahead three days, but I'm leaving my tickers alone... like the ladies said - the date is just an estimate and really doesn't have much to do with when our babies will decide they're fully cooked!

I have measured 1 day behind O and 2 days ahead of O with different u/s's. Just going off my charted O, which ironically is the same day as LMP date. Unless its more than a week difference, dr.'s wont change it. Also, moving your ticker up a few days will only drive you nuts at the end if you go past your DD, lol

My u/s changed my due date a whole 10 days from Nov 27 to Dec 7! LOL Ive always gone by ultrasound date and both of mine were born 1 day before their due date, naturally. (And weighed the same, too... lol)

Ha, I went from Dec 1st to Dec 3rd! I didn't want to get moved back, even if only two days. If I were you, I'd take whichever one comes first!

Mine went back 2 days and I gladly took it. Only time it matters is if they induce you and before to 37 weeks. The OB will change your record if he really thinks it necessary such as if you didn't have your last period date. Most don't. I didn't have one (m/c was last day) so they are using the u/s as the EDD.

Lol I went with the December 1!

It's a possibility we may induce in November depending on how big he/she is so I can give birth naturally but it's not for sure

That's why I gladly took mine. Hospital policy is no more than 2 weeks early. Mine are usually 9+ pounds at that point.

My edd based on last AF was Dec. 18. Baby measurements showed Dec. 14.

Exact same scenario with DD. Her edd was March 18. Her u/s due date was March 14. She was born on march 14. Hoping the same will go with this one!

Ours would be around 7-9 days early

I think I was born around a month early and I was almost 8lbs.. worrisome lol

DS#1 was 8lbs 14 ounces at 36w3days. They estimated had he gone another 4 weeks, he would have been well over 12pds since he was gaining a pd a week. Last DD would have fallen into the same grouping but her cord got knotted and stopped growing at 36w so she was only 8lbs 6 ounces at 38w when they finally realized she had to come out.

I love my big babies. They sleep well (all have slept through the night since day 1)..
