Will you be getting professional maternity photos done?
Has anyone ever done this?

I would love to but afraid how much it would cost.

I won't be getting them done because of the price. Also, I never had them done with my other three pregnancies so can't really start now. But it is over priced!!

Definitely doing them. The photographer I will use is pretty pricey but I know having them will be worth it.

I definitely want to get them done. Well, as long as I end up with a cute bump!

I think that if it's your first pregnancy ad you have the money to kinda splurge do it!!! I totally regret not doing it with my first!

I probably won't because we have a nice camera and we've taken some good ones in the past.

Mine was included in my newborn package for free (the sitting fee was waived) - so take a look at the baby photographers in your area. My photographer was really expensive and won't ever sell the digitals BLECH...

I should have saved my money and bought myself a better portrait lens for my Canon EOS!

I am just going to do my own this time and my own baby photos too, I think!

You can buy a great camera, lens and cheap lighting set and take your own photos of your own children for years!

This website has SUCH great info for the beginner photographer!

Not in the budget here! I'm going to wait until after the birth and have a family photo session.

We did some last time with DD, and I just LOVE them!!! I believe we paid like $100 and it included the bump session as well as the newborn session. She came to our house and we did it in the comfort of our home. Which was awesome. I won't do bump pics this time but we will do some family photos probably in August when I am showing!

Im a photographer and I have friends who are Photographers. We just exchange services to each other so they wont cost me anything. Well, except when I print them off. They give me all the proofs etc. I didnt have them done with my 2st two and bummed. I will get them done this time along with the balloon reveal and maybe a body cast.

I have a really nice Cannon camera with expensive changeable lenses because I used to take pics for the local paper of bands around town so I think I will have some of my own and save the rest of the money to get good family photos around xmas time. I would love to see some of the photos the BTDT mom have!

I am willing to share my bump pics from DD so if you want to see then send me a PM and I will email them to you. Not comfortable posting them online for the world to see haha! I'm topless, but covered...

I was thinking about them - we'll see. Our wedding photographer does amazing work and offers some reasonable maternity packages too. Even if we don't do them, I'm for sure having her do all of our newborn and baby pics, plus the birth announcement.

I sought out a photographer at the beginning of my pregnancy who could kinda 'document' my entire pregnancy from beginning to end -- gender reveal 'party,' maternity shoot, baby shower, and yes, even the birth (not those kinda shoots, now!) I became really, really good friends with her throughout my pregnancy, so she always gives me reasonable prices. This time around, I'm not sure if we'll do a maternity shoot ... maybe just a newborn shoot. The 2nd+ one(s) always get jipped, right

Not sure if the link will work, but this was our maternity shoot:

Thanks for sharing Lindsey!

I haven't even thought about a photoshoot. As you all know, I still haven't picked my wedding album & am completely stressed out about it. Our main photographer moved to LA to work with some porn film maker - so I guess that's out too! Might have to start looking around....
