How soon can you hear babies heartbeat on those dropplers at the doctors office? I have my first appointment today and I'm hoping we can look for the heartbeat with one of those things. I'm 7 weeks 2 days.

It might be too early. Usually the dopplers are good after 10 weeks, but since you've had a few babies, maybe you'll be able to hear it early. I know with my doppler at home I usually can't hear it until I'm a bit further along.

Maybe you're Dr. will do an internal u/s and you'll get to see your baby.

I went to my appointment yesterday and I am a little over 8 weeks. I love the fact that my doctor has said, "if we can't hear it today, please do not worry......." and we didn't this time around. the last two pregnancies I had my appointment closer to 10 weeks and we were able to hear it. he said i was measuring around 8 weeks (which is about right where we thought) so I am not going to get worried. besides, I'm still having all my symptoms and today am suuuuper nauseated. So I guess I think everything is still ok!

i get an ultrasound next week as well just to make doubly sure no twins

It depends on the doppler I think. I went for my appt earlier this week and the midwive told me that her doppler couldn't pick anything up before 10 weeks but it looked really old. My one at home can pick up a HB as early as 8 weeks if you are on the thin side and your uterus is at the right angle.
Before 8 weeks is really unlikely though. Good luck at your today!
