I met my new MFM yesterday My old one who I have adored since DD1 left abruptly and unexpectedly. They just booked me with a new one and I figured to give the benefit of a doubt and go see her. I absolutely hate her. She's a total fruit loop! She wouldn't answer any of my questions or give me any kind of information. I am a 'tell it like it is' kind of person. I don't care what it is give it to me straight like an educated adult. (this isn't my first high risk pregnancy!) I left just crushed. Since my stay in L&D and the "irritable uterus" diagnosis my OB is seeing me bi weekly now. I see him today and I am praying he gives me the name of another MFM that can see me. I don't trust the care of this jelly roll at all!! Given even a slightly high risk pregnancy a MFM is typically just a consult and not much weight but into it but with my history an current complications the MFM is VERRRRRY Involved. They decided what we do, when we do it, and ultimately everything that happens. testing, amnio, induction etc. are all in direct correlation to their professional opinion and with SUCH IMMENSE affect on the pregnancy this NEEDS to be a person I can trust 100%. I'm still having the same cramps etc but no more of the take your breath awawy ones so hopefully all is well. Any spare thoughts for today would be awesome.
I'm sorry this doctor is such a quack. I hope you can get in to see someone else!

I am so sorry to hear that you had that experience with the new MFW. Are you taking any magnesium and calcium? I have had an irritable uterus with all my pregnancies worst with my first. It seems to help me. Were you the one who was having contractions recently? Forgive my pregnancy brain. I have been having them too but better this time. We should talk!
Hope things get better soon for you with your practice.

I hope you can find someone else. It is so important to see a doctor that you trust when you are high risk. They make a lot of decisions for you, and if you don't trust them it will just make you stress even more. Good luck today!!!
