Mommy is so happy she got to feel you kick for the first time, but in the future she'd appreciate if you did not do firsts at 4am. It makes Mommy too excited to fall back to sleep and she's going to be very tired all day.
Thanks! I've been feeling flutters for about 2 weeks now and last night was the first full-on kick.
Of course my best friend who is due in August (when I was due with my loss) responded by saying "the excitement will soon turn to tears and frustration. My little girl kept me awake all weekend." Ummmm...I know that it'll get to be frustrating and I won't get much sleep at night. I have had friends who have had babies before, but I've worked too hard to get here and I'm going to enjoy feeling this baby kick for the first time! She does this all the time. Just because she got lucky enough to keep her baby doesn't mean she's an expert who needs to impart wisdom on me.
So, that's a long way of saying, thanks, ladies for sharing in my excitement and not telling me it's going to turn into sleepless nights of the baby keeping me up. Y'all are the best!
