I know what this is starting to sound like to me, but I want your input as well! I thought I had one of these in the past (probably like 8-10 weeks ago, but I was wrong thank goodness!), and I'm thinking I might have one (for reals) this time.

Symptoms:

*Low grade temp
*Abdominal pain in the middle of my stomach off to the right side, and corresponding pain directly behind it on my back
*Difficulty urinating -- no pain, just doesn't want to come out without force
*Always feel like I have to pee
*And finally, today my urine almost looks like it has a slight orange-red tint to it

Last time I thought I had this, I had pink urine, but only one time. And I did have back pain but I think it was a pulled/overworked muscle. I know that its possible that its the same thing this time, and maybe the baby is pushing on my bladder funny? I also feel like I can discount out all the symptoms to be related to others things.... I really don't want to bug my doctor about this unless is some real ailment. Thoughts?

It sounds like a kidney infection. I could be wrong, but it def sounds like something you should get checked out.
I'm an MA.

Oh no Rachel, I'd agree with Kelli...sounds like a possible UTI...I would get checked before the pain gets worse. KUP...

My doc told me you can present with UTI differently when pregnant, meaning it's not unheard of to have UTI with no pain. I'd probably call and ask the nurse, they can tell you whether or not you need to be seen.

I had been suspecting the same thing... UTI or kidney infection. Sadly, drinking water or actually anything right now is difficult. My n/v meds all ran out and I'm waiting on medi-cal to approve them to be refilled. Can't keep much down

If things get worse, I'll def call the doctor! Thanks for the input!

What pointed me to kidney infection is the pain on the right side. If it were a UTI then the pain would be in the center and down low. Either way I think you should get it checked out. You don't want to deal with the paint from either one that's for sure.

I had a defect with my kidney, and until I had surgery I had UTI's ALLLLL the time.. and they always varied as far as symptoms and intensity.. sometimes It wouldnt hurt when I'd pee but I'd feel like I had to go every 20 seconds... the pinkish tint is usually caused by blood from the infection.. sorry if this is TMI, but I had one hit so suddenly and I didnt do anything about it that I pee'd straight blood. I thought I was dying... DONT wait!!! the sooner you get antibiotics, the sooner you'll feel better!!
