I constantly have 3 kids who are hungry or thirsty. Lucky my DH is home to help. The older kids gets a drink for the younger sibling. As for food, we have something called a snack box. They get 3 meals and 2 snacks. When its snack time, I tell them to go get something from the snack box. Everything from fruit roll ups, cheese and crackers to muffins. We have been doing this for about 10 years now. Works well.

We have a system similar to Stacy's. My oldest will help the younger sibblings get drinks and then the bottom shelf of the pantry is the snack shelf. Has fruit cups, granola bars, fruit gummy's/roll ups, etc... They get 2 snacks and when its snack time they just go into the pantry and pick a snack of the snack shelf. Works great for us! It helps me to not feel like I am constantly feeding some one! My son however is ALWAYS hungry!! He would eat all day non stop if you let him.

You will learn it is totally different though when it is your own kids vs. others, you have your own routines from the beginning.

Mine are old enough to help themselves. We also have a snack cabinet and they can choose from there or they can pick some fruit/veggies from the fridge. Mine are ALWAYS hungry, lol!! I don't know where they put it all!!

And like Lindsay said, it's definitely different with your own kids! My patience for other peoples kids are low, unless I am on a session, lol!

Aww lol, it will be ok. I know from previous daycare experience that a new class or new children do act a little different the first few days after you meet. It's both you getting to know them while they get to know you, and yes routines are formed and pretty important if you ask me.
Give it a little time, you will get the groove of things while they start feeling more comfortable around you as well.

The beginning of babysitting new kids is always rough. You'll get used to it!
