This is what my sister and I called my mom's easy version of chicken and dumplings. I never made them myself until last night and I didn't do it just right but it had the same taste just not the perfect texture.
6 frozen chicken breasts
1 box chicken broth
1 can jumbo biscuits
salt and pepper
This is so easy. Just boil your chicken in the chicken broth and water. Then shred the chicken and put it back in the juice. Pop open your biscuit can and while the water is at a rolling boil kinda smash the biscuits and pinch off pieces then drop the pieces in the boiling water. The biscuit dough will add the flour needed to thicken the broth. If the dough starts to stick to the bottom of the pan you may need to add more water. Salt and pepper to taste.
The thing that I did wrong was to smash the biscuits too thin and then pinch off the pieces too small so they kinda dissolved a little too much and I didn't have as many dumplings as I would have liked. But it really did taste right. This may be something that everyone here already knows how to do but it was a first for me and I really enjoyed it.
