My day of fun today ended on a somber note. The lady taking my baby's photograph had a bandage on her chest. I'm nosy so I asked about it, and she said she was on chemo, was given 9 months to live. She seemed very optimistic, and said that they don't get to decide when she would die. I'm very sad for her and her family, though. She's one of those people that can instantly be friends with anyone. She's only 45. =(
I wish it was something where I could share a kidney or some of my liver to fix her. Really sucks. Brain tumors SUCK. I just don't understand how nice people like her need to get brain tumors when the other photographer(aka b*tch) in the studio is as healthy as a horse. Life is really not fair today! Please remember her in your thoughts and prayers.
Oh this is soooo sad! I'm tearing up now, because this reminds me so much of a beloved co-worker of mine who died a little over a year ago. She was around 45 years old too, and had suffered from terrible headaches for years. Went to her doctor and he gave her 3 months to live! Turns out some little spot of skin cancer got into her blood, lungs, and base of her brain and formed tumors. She died exactly 3 months after her diagnosis. ;(
