...but I was having some painful and quite a lot of bh contractions. they vary in time and intensity. So I drank about 16 oz of water and sat down. Seemed to get better. But then I got up to walk and one hit again.

I don't have any other signs of pre term labor and my gut tells me everything is ok....but how long does it are to rehydrate you? Shouldn't the contractions have abated by now? I did some light housecleaning today and that's all. Nothing major.. should I drink more?

If this continues I will call my dr tomorrow but as always I like to hear what you ladies think. I'd hate to be wrong and cause myself to start preterm labor.

I would call take it easy the rest of the day. If they start up again call your Dr. right away to be safe. I hope it's nothing!

Ditto to Michelle- take it easy, put your feet up & drink water and empty bladder... I would call if they start up again, just so your dr is aware of what's going on... KUP.

You can't be too careful. Like everyone else said, make sure your bladder is empty, your fluid intake is high and REST momma!

Now the the contractions have stopped, I'm noticing a pain in my ligaments and muscles...so I think that's why the contractions were painful and noticed them more. But I drank some more water and then when I got up to do dishes I only felt the tugging, not the bh. Sooooo, hopefully tomorrow I wake up and feel good still.
