I found out at my anatomy scan that I have an anterior placenta. I know it isn't a big deal medically but, the only time I feel him move is when he kicks my bladder. I just started feeling these kicks in the last two weeks.

I was just wondering when and if I will be able to feel typical movement? I feel sort of sad that I can't feel him like I felt the girls.

I had an anterior placenta with the last pregnancy and this one too. Honestly, I can't remember exactly when I started feeling movement with my son, but it was after 20 weeks. And I never felt as much consistent movement as most women do.

Mine is anterior but I feel her move all the time. At all my ultrasounds they've commented about how active she is though, so maybe she's just kicking like crazy and that's why I feel it so much. But, for me it hasn't really been a big issue luckily. At 19 weeks though it wasn't as often as it is now. Give it a little more time, despite having an anterior placenta I've been able to feel her pretty regularly and more so as time passes.

This is my second pg with an anterior placenta and I was shocked when she told me that this time because I started feeling movement super early with this one...like 11 weeks or so. At 20 weeks I am feeling it all the time so I hope you start feeling it soon. It doesn't always mean you wont feel ss much at least from my experience.

Had it with my first and did not feel movement until 22 weeks or so. And even then it wasn't constant.

Have it again this time and JUST started to feel something (im 21 weeks) and its mostly from the outside and nothing I consistent yet.

I did with my first. By 23 weeks I finally started feeling her and after that, she was strong enough that no placenta was going to block those kicks!

I had anterior placenta last time and I suspect I have it this time too. I also mostly felt the early kicks on my bladder. It feels like a sudden extreme urge to pee. Last time I felt more distinct movement starting around 21-22 weeks, this time I'm just now starting to feel it (18 weeks). And You will eventually be able to feel those kicks from the outside, too. When the baby gets bigger, the placenta won't cover the entire front half of your belly, so there will be places where the baby is right next to your skin, and you still get the "alien effect."

I have it this time and don't feel her much.. Every once in a great while I will feel her really low, down by my pubic bone and so far that is the only place i feel it. I was starting to get worried but when i had my non stress test she kept moving off the monitor so i know she is active, i just can't feel it..

I had one and I'm a small framed girl and I still didn't feel movement until I was around 24 weeks or so I felt it and it was still rare. Even as I got farther along I'd get ultrasounds and they would always ask me do you feel that she's moving really good but I wouldn't feel it. I'd only feel the really really good jabs.

I have an anterior placenta this time. I only feel kicks way down low and I think that is because the baby is also breech. I have a feeling that if baby was head down I wouldn't be feeling anything at all. I really didn't start feeling tiny kicks down low until around 17 or 18 wks. They still aren't enough that DH or DS have been able to feel anything.

Well, I actually have felt quite a bit of movement low down since I posted this. My baby is also breech right now, so that is why I feel the low kicks I guess.
