So we are planning a trip to disneyland next year most likely for Halloween .. It will be my husband and I my parents and our three kids.. Ages 4,2,1 .. are we crazy for wanting to go to Disney with 3 young kids ?

we went last year for Christmas with the same minus the new baby of course and it was tiring.. its probably going to be worse with the new one... its also i think a 4 hour flight !!! the more i think about it the crazier i feel hahah

have any of you attempted this with 3 young kids ? we would bring our double stroller and a single since i know my parents will want a break from the parks one day and my Dh and i cant push 3 strollers !!

We just went to Disney for four days- sat through tues- with a 4 yr old and 22 month old. We had a great time and I am very happy we went... but after 2 days of overstimulation and sleep deprivation, Kinley, 22 months, became very difficult. She threw several major tantrums because she wanted take her shoes off and run through the crowds instead of going with us on rides, etc. It will help that you will have four adults so one or two of you can take cranky toddlers back to your room if this happens. For us, the cranky toddler took away some of the fun, especially for Kayla who wanted to go on more rides, but couldn't because of little sister's behavior. if I was not pregnant, tired, hot, etc, we could have taken turns, but after two days I was having a hard time physically and couldn't handle Kinley's behavior on my own.
I don't think you are crazy and I am sure you will have a great time. I had been wanting to go to Disney for a while, but DH was hesitant because of our girls being so young. It just happened to work out though at time when he is transitining from a slower paced job back to busy/can't get time off very easily for a couple of years. Even knowing how Kinley acted the last two days, I still would have chosen to go.

It may be tiring, but I think it is doable. I have never been with 3 kids. I did take two 1-year-olds to Disney World last year. We spent some time at the pool as a way to decompress. Do they have a play area at Disneyland? I know at Disney World, Splash Mountain has a tiny play area that helped burn off energy.

It looks like the average according to the weather channel is the upper 70s for October and November.

We are going to DisneyWorld next Halloween with our four kids. In a way, you'll have it easier than us because our kids will be at vastly different height and ride abilities. Mine will be 12, 7, 6, and 1. We've gone to Disney so many times over the years that I can't say what ages are easiest. These trips can be exhausting and overstimulating no matter what ages you bring. The best plan is probably just to schedule some down time into your trip.

The weather is usually nice, but there can be flukes. We went in December once and it was freezing on some days and shorts weather on others. But the last time we went around Halloween we were in shorts and the kids could easily wear costumes at night and it wasn't unbearable, neither too hot or cold.
