I'm going camping tonight with a bunch of girlfriends (only about 15 miles from our house). Kira is staying home with her daddy.
I'm not worried AT ALL about hubby taking care of her; he's awesome and they'll do great together. I am, however, worried about myself turning into a sniveling mess! I miss her terribly already and she's sleeping in the next room! Earlier I was packing my tent and sleeping bag and noticed I was singing her little singalong songs to myself.
Wish me luck in getting through the night while still maintaining my friendships with these primarily childless gals who will probably get tired of being shown baby photos after 20 minutes.
I lucked out, too -- two of the women camping were at my baby shower and I just happened to have a pic on my phone of Kira wearing the little socks they had given me. They were very happy to see the photo.
Looking at the note hubby left, it appears that Kira went to bed at 10:45pm and only woke up at 2:45am and 7:30am. She was still sound asleep when I got home at 11am. Whew, what a good girl! Hubby is still sleeping now (nearly 1pm ) so hopefully he'll be in an OK mood and will agree to let me go camping again sometime.
