Does your baby suck on his or her fingers or thumbs?

Wondering how many babies sooth themselves this way.

My LO sucks on his fingers. He usually can't get his thumb in his mouth bc he keeps it folded up.

Robby is all about thumbsucking, lol. He has been since he was born, actually, but now his aim is better. He even sucks his thumb between bites of solid foods when DH feeds him!

Claire sucks on her fingers and thumb. Lately she's been more chewing on them than sucking. I think she may have started teething.

I don't think I can vote here. Rhydian doesn't suck anything except when its tine to eat. Even then he's a lazy sucker. Lol. He chews his fingers a lot though or just sets them in his mouth.

Not a lot at all, I'm hoping he doesn't start. When dd started sucking her thumb I thought it was the cutest thing ever, but now she is two and I can't get her to stop. Doc says don't even try until she is three. I'm afraid it will affect her palate.

If Ds starts doing it a lot I might try to stop it.

Jack sucks his thumbs and fingers, mostly his thumb when tired. We have tried to get him to take a paci but no go. DH sucked his thumb for a while too. I would rather have him take a paci (like DD) since I can have the "paci fairy" take it away. But, alas, there can't be a "thumb fairy"

It is cute now!

My little girl Always has at the very least one finger in her mouth... or four... or her whole fist.

It's really bad now that she's teething.
