It has been a long day here, Amelia has had a rough afternoon, it's miserably hot and then Kathryn started acting strange. For those who don't remember, Kat is autistic with mental retardation. We have thought for awhile she is having pedi mal seizures. Well, we are fairly sure she had one today. I was in the bedroom, nursing and she walks into my room. Then she walked into Brandon's. This is HIGHLY unusual behavior, Kat has a walking pattern that never deviates and it does not include my bedroom, Brandon's room or the kitchen and she walked into all three today. I think in the 8 months we have lived here, that is the 3rd time she has been in my room, and the other two were because I told her to come in and follow me. She has never been in Brandon's room and she only goes to the kitchen to put plates and such in the sink or put water in a cup, never to walk through it. So, I told her to change her diaper, she didn't do it and so I did it for her, she was only wet (which she will change on her own after being told to one time). Then I told her to lay down and she took an hour nap. Kat has been medicated for bedtime since she was 5 and she is now 15, she does not sleep without meds unless sick. And she was very pale and acted like she was gonna be sick before I told her to lay down. Ever since her nap, she has been her typical self, no weird behaviors. But we were told by her doctor that unless they caught her having a Pedi mal on an MRI or EEG or she had a Grand Mal in front of us, that we would never really know for sure. I do think this is what she is having. And now Amelia is awake again, it's been a long day with that one too, she has been very needy and grouchy.
