It's been a while since we've had any new recipes. Here's my family's reduced sugar cobbler.
1c all purpose flour
½ c sugar
1½ tsp baking powder
¼ c butter
Preheat oven 350°. Put your butter in an 8" casserole dish, and place it in the oven to melt. Combine dry. Add wet. pour batter into dish with melted butter. Dump fruit in the middle, pat down a little. Do not stir! Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Fruit ideas: apples, peaches, pears, cherries, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, and fruit cocktail.
You can add cinnamon to the dry if desired.
45 minutes is usually perfect for me. I add about 15 minutes to cook time if making it the night before.
