I need opinions!

I had thought I was settled on colors for Sophia's nursery, but now I can't decide. I'm still set on doing light gray walls, but now I'm not sure if I want to do yellow with it or hot pink. I'm starting to like the pink better. What do you think of these, not going by the design, but just by the color combos with the gray and white?

Pink and Gray. My favorite color is yellow but the pink one is original!

I like the grey and yellow... but then I'm not a fan of pink so I might not be the right person to ask!

I like the pink and gray since she is a girl. The other seems more boyish or if you didn't know gender

But what about doing the Pink and Gray... and then add burst of yellow flowers (fake ones, so you dont have to replenish them ) That would be CUTE!

Ok, I think you have me convinced. I like these ideas! I was really starting to lean towards the pink, but still liked the yellow, so doing a little combo is a great idea! Thanks girls!

I loathe the color yellow. I don't know why, it's just my least favorite. I'm also not fond of pink, but with those options, I'd have to go with pink and grey.

However, I'd change it to grey and purple.

I really like both too. But since you know what you're having I'd take advantage of that and go all girl! But splashes of yellow is a great idea!

I love them both, BUT...I read somewhere (ahh...the ubiquitous somewhere) that neon colors aren't soothing to babies...whereas yellow gives them a burst of natural serotonin levels.

It could all be major BS. It may also have been from an episode of Pregnant in High Heels. If so...someone PLEASE call me on it.

Here's some website articles I found on nursery colors....

Choose your best nursery colors

Baby Nursery Colors

Honestly I think its a bunch of hooey.... if you turn out the lights the rooms is going to be dark anyways... and if you want to you can buy a curtain that does not let the light into the room... so even during the day, it will be dark in there. Just my opinion.

That's how I feel too. If it's nighttime or naptime, the shades will be drawn and it'll be dark in the room, so what difference do the colors make? If it's at a time when I'm trying to keep the baby awake (hoping he/she will stay up a bit longer and then sleep a bit later), then wouldn't the bright colors be a good thing? I've heard some say keep the colors calm to keep the baby calm, but I've also heard some say have some bright colors because the baby can see them easier and it stimulates the brain. The fact of the matter is, nobody has figured out a scientific way to get into the brain of a little baby, so I say do whatever you like.

I think I like the grey and pink best! The yellow and grey combo is SO overdone these days in nurseries (though yellow is one of my favorite colors).
