Is anyone else having trouble getting their baby to nap?
Not only is Evan waking twice a night lately (he was STTN for a couple weeks), he is refusing to nap in the morning and even afternoon naps are getting difficult. He was rubbing his eyes and yawning at 10:45AM this morning but just screamed for 30 minutes when I tried putting him in the crib. He dozed off for about 20 minutes on Grandpa's lap around 1PM, but now when I tried to put him in his crib again at 4PM after nursing, he is just laying there and screaming bloody murder. I'm so frustrated and tired...This has been going on for about ten days, and he is not sick.
Exactly the same here. He has never been a stellar napper, but today he pretty much refused. If I could get him to doze off while nursing, as soon as I laid him down he would wake up and scream. The last couple nights he has been a nightmare to get down. And he has never slept through the night, he usually wakes twice.
We are having problems too. Jack will eventually go down, but the last 2 days napping has been a struggle. He stops crying and smiles AS SOOn as he sees me or DH. So I am beginning to think he is starting his separation anxiety. I hope not...
Our little lady has never been a good sleeper. The only way I can get a decent nap out of her is to either lay down with her or walk around with her in the Ergo until she falls asleep. Even if I lay down with her until she falls asleep and then sneak away, she'll usually be up within 10 mins. Also, her best nap is in the late afternoon/ early evening. I guess I've just learned to accept this...I can't force her to sleep. I just hope that if we are blessed with another he or she will be a good sleeper
I guess he's playing catch-up on sleep today - he slept from 9-9 last night (minus a 20-minute nursing session at 4AM), then fell asleep again at 10:30 and has been asleep another 2.5 hours! His first day (free trial day) at day care yesterday must have really worn him out! LOL
