So, the past few nights i've been noticing an intense ache in my lower body area... I have it during the day sometimes but it gets worse as the day goes on and was pretty bad last night. Its mostly my pelvis and lower tummy but also my hips and sometimes my back on the sides. It doesnt really feel "crampy" but i'm incredibly paranoid about preterm labor so i'm asking your ladies opinions anyway. A constant achy feeling is okay right? Cramps wold come and go and also be higher up on my tummy? And contractions are when your tummy feels tight correct? (I never had any with my son). I'm also having constipation problems due to my iron pills and some anxiety about some personal issues as well so i have a whole mess of "tummy" issues going on right now. The ache is just normal, supporting a big ol' tummy right? (I'm bigger at this point then when i delivered my son so i'm not used to this!)
It sounds normal to me! However, I am by no means a doctor or an expert!
I also have constant aching in my lower tummy/crotch, mostly due to how big my tummy is already and my previous c-section-scar tissue.
I also remember being achy down in the same area with my first, but much much later in my pregnancy.
The word "achy" usually doesn't scream contractions to me, but everyone woman is so different. If you are having real concern about it definitely call your doc to see what they say Sounds normal to me though!

Oh i agree, im not *that* concerned i'm pretty sure its just the combination of all the things that are going on but i just wanted some other opinions I've noticed it definitely gets worse as the day goes on which really makes me lean towards just the day catching up with me, kwim? Then i get freaked out at night time and then i go to bed and feel mostly better in the morning and i think i'm being silly again.
I ache pretty bad at night. Mostly when I'm trying to sleep. My tummy/pelvic area is not happy with me right now. I'd describe it more as a sore/achy feeling though from the muscles being all loose and trying to support this growing bub. Real contractions kind of feel like period pain. Although, recently, I've been told that even non-painful contractions that come at a rate of 4 per hour should be checked out. They didn't tell me that with my first.
I had the same thing yesterday and went to the ER. I never take any chances when I'm unsure about the baby's safety. It turns out the extreme aches were caused by him squishing up on my lower left side. It even made me lightheaded. I was hooked up to the contractions monitor and showed no contractions. All of his kicks were heard, though.
It's probably nothing but I'd rather be safe than sorry. If it persists, I'd go in to be seen.
I had the same question last night. I had an achy, crampy feeling down low, but just for a few minutes and my belly was not hard.it did feel like just like my period cramps, which is why I was wondering about this. I think it was just achiness from the heaviness of the baby. For you though,I would keep a close eye and call your doctor if it persists.
