Life as a family of four is treating us very kindly. Big sister is amazing with Aubrey and hasn't showed any signs of jealousy. Aubrey is a piglet and is nursing like a champ. Her 2 week check up showed she had gained all of her weight (and then some) back from birth and that she grew 1/4 of a inch! She is such a calm baby. She only cries when you change her diaper, and even then it's not every time. When she's hungry, she starts eating her hand. She will fuss a little if you get her in the nursing position and don't get the boob in her mouth fast enough - lol. She is waking up once a night to nurse, usually after 6 straight hours of sleep. She did give us almost 8 hours the other night, such a sweetie! She is such a blessing to our family and we couldn't be happier.
On another note, I am so happy that I am feeling so great emotionally after her birth. With DD#1, I was an emotional train wreck. I feel so confident, calm, and overall happy this time. I guess that comes with experience? Pain wise I was worse off this time than with DD#1. I am still having pain in my lower back/tail bone. I think I seriously bruised it or something to that effect. I am going to see my chiropractor this week and hope he can fix me. I'm chalking it up to the extremely intense, fast labor she put me through. Other than that, my bleeding has almost completely stopped - hurray for that!
Hope you ladies are well! I'm going to try to catch up on reading posts now.
Here's a little peek at our little princess, so happy & content:
