I called my Dr because it had spread to my face. He said there really isn't anything you can do. It is most likely a pinched nerve in my rib cage and my wrist. As long as my face is still able to move and not droop, then wait it out. It's very annoying and my mouth feels awful. Like Novacaine wearing off

I'm sorry, I hope it wears off soon. My arm has fallen asleep a couple of times but not my face, that sounds uncomfortable!

My Dr said it's because of a nerve in my chest cavity. I'm assuming it's because my uterus and baby push everything up.

Oh fantastic. Its getting really weird. Now my arm doesn't look like it belongs to me...if that makes sense. Idk my brain and my coordination has kinda been out of wack since that whole episode. I'm nervous but i doubt a dr will understand. I guess i'll just wait it out.

I get like that with the onset of migraines. Drink a lot of water, through a straw. It is a disturbing feeling

Numbness is usually a nerve. I agree with your doc, if it happens again... get up and try and shake it out. Sometimes I'll sleep on my arm wrong, and then I wake up with it asleep. Its so annoying, but not harmful.

This same thing actually happens to my husband though. We'll be driving, and however it is that he holds his arm, his finger and hand and arm all go tingly... sometimes numb. But once he's able to shake it out, its typically ok. I wouldn't stress about this unless you're unable to use one whole side of your body because its numb. Thats why the doctor said something about it not being a huge deal if your face isn't drooping. As long as those things don't happen, you should just just fine

I get numbness from carpel tunnel, but it's never spread to my face. Glad it's passed for you!

I was talking to my mom about this today and she said the same thing happened to her when she was pregnant, and it turned out to be a blood clot. Not that I should stress out about it possibly being one, but to let my Dr. know that it had happened to her. It might be hereditary, we don't really know.
