Is dramamine safe during pregnancy? I did a google search and kind of found mixed reviews. Some said it's fine, some said it's been tested on animals but not people, and almost everything said always ask your doctor. So I was wondering if anyone has asked their doctor about it or has taken it?

Ask your doctor, but mine says it's very safe. Most drugs are only tested on animals, if it showed no harm in animal studies then it's labeled as class B. I took it when I flew at 12-13 weeks, and to be honest, it worked better than Zofran at relieving my m/s issues and I had no motion sickness on the plane. I only took the children's dose just to be safe.

I'd call your doctor because a ton of them have varying opinions about medicines. Some will say it's safe, others tell you not to take it. If it's class B then it should be alright. Class C is where it really starts to get iffy and you should only take it if you REALLY need it.

I took it when we flew to Colorado in May because my doc said it was fine.

Thanks! I'll double check with my OB, but hopefully she says it's fine because I don't want to know what would happen on the flight without it!

I asked my doc during my last pregnancy, 5 yrs ago and was told not to take it. Could be things have changed since then.

Well I just called and talked to a nurse and she told me not to take it. I asked if there was anything else I could take and she said she'd talk to my dr and call back. Boo!

If you don't mind sleeping a Unisom can help with nausea. What about the sea bands?
