How can you tell the difference between new and old stretch marks? I have a few from my first pregnancy and I've noticed as I've been lathering on the lotion there seem to be more than before, but I can't tell if they are recent or not?!?

I think new ones tend to be bright pink at first before they turn white. If they look white or silvery, they're probably old ones.

I believe new ones would be red; but Im not positive on that. Mine are 20yrs old so Im sure if new ones pop up they will look different.

Maybe I'm just seeing them more as I get bigger. These are very light and faded like.

My old ones are silvery and shiny and keeping that color as they stretch and define themselves even more (oh joy!). I only have one new one so far and it is bright pinky/purpley.

my old ones are actually starting to look pinkish, very similar to how they looked when I first got them. Mine didn't turn red until after delivery, and then about a year later they faded to silvery/white. But now they're starting to look pink again. Weird.

I think I noticed a new one this morning but I can't remember the old pattern that well. I'm going to have to start paying attention. Not that it matters, but I guess it would be nice to know how bad I get them this time compared to last!

From my experience they've faded on their own with time and have never gone away completely.

That's my problem. They get so light that there is no color to them, but you can always see the tear in the skin

So far, the only place I'm seeing stretch marks in my breasts. After I retired from gymnastics, my boobs grew 2 cup sizes in a matter of like a month. My old marks (from back then... I was 17 at the time) are a white/light color. Not that noticeable unless I'm focused on them. My new ones from this pregnancy are purple/pink.

I've been really, really good about putting my oil and lotion on my belly, but not so much my boobs. I have none on my belly yet, but my boobs are a disaster haha! Its ok, only me and DH see them anyway
