What do you recommend for a diaper pail for cloth diapers?

I've been waffling back and forth, figured I'd try it but not beat myself up about it if I don't want to do it, but the longer I've had to wear liners during this pregnancy and feel uncomfortable wearing them, the more I think about how irritating that must be to a poor baby's bottom and I really want to make this work.

We just use a wet bag and hang it in the washroom

What kind of wet bag would you recommend? I know so much about baby products from doing day care, but I'm getting a sense of what most first-time moms must go through with this world of cloth diapers! I'm so overwhelmed!

We use a Planet Wise wet bag and it is amazing!! I have had DH sniff the bag while it's had a dirty diaper in it and you can't smell a thing! Then when you wash, you just turn it inside out and wash with the dipes. We also use it on the go, it's just a medium sized one.

Nope, no liner. I just give it a quick wash every time I wash diapers. Easy and cheap.

I'm glad you asked this Robyn! I looked at the wetbags that you hang on your bathroom door & thought that would be a good idea.
I'm going to google those Kelli!

I do the same thing with a planet wise bag. Easy and doesn't take up space like a pail and easy to carry to laundry room too.

I saw a documentary where (in Africa, I think?) the mother wiped her baby's butt with her knee. I didn't see any diapers.

I use a kitchen garbage can with a waterproof camping bag as a liner. Threw the whole thing in the wash (obviously emptied it out into the washer since I didn't want anything to get stuck in the bag and not get washed)

I use a Planet Wise Hanging Wet Bag. Mine are all 2 years old and are as good as the day I bought them!

I use a plastic rubbermaid garbage pail, slightly smaller than a standard kitchen garbage can. I think it is 8 gallons? It has a lid that snaps shut. I don't put a pail liner in it, just spray with diluted tea-tree oil in between loads to disinfect, and hit it with a wipe if poo gets smeared anywhere. We use a diaper sprayer so that doesn't happen very often.

I use a cheap 1$ pail from the dollar store lined with a nameless wetbag and that works great for us. I'll need a bigger pail once the baby is here, though.
