So, I attempted to call a seamstress today but no one answered, so I took it as a sign that maybe the dress was just not worth getting altered, so I started looking for navy maternity dresses. This is my favorite I've come up with: Cotton Glam Maternity Cross Over Dress - Best Price

I know it's not the same formal fabric, but I think I could dress it up, and really, I need to look appropriate and be comfortable if I'm going to be the matron of honor at this wedding!

I think that's a great idea! It's beautiful, looks comfy, and could definitely be dressed up as much as you need it to be. If the bride is okay with it, then I say go for it! With the kind of alterations you'd need done on the dress you have, I think you're saving money, too.

Oh it's really cute! Glad to hear the bride was good with you changing dresses. That sounds like a much easier solution than trying to get the other one altered in time.

Its awesome! I think especially being the matron of honor, you can get away with your dress being a little different than the other bridesmaids, too. Im glad you found something that you'll be comfy in!

Agreed, it's not out of the question to look different as the MOH. That dress is pretty too!

Glad she agreed. MOH are usually dressed differently anyway so it won't look that abnormal.

Good luck finding comfortable shoes now

What a cute dress! I actually had to wear that Ann Taylor dress for my cousins wedding and it was such a bad fit even not pregnant!
