OK...so it had never even crossed my mind until I got asked it on Saturday night...
But one of my girlfriends wanted to know if I planned on trying my breast milk - and if my DH planned on trying it.

Is this creepy or is this normal? I'm just curious what other peoples thoughts are.

I think its completely normal. I tried both my colostrum and breast milk. Both had a "sugary" type taste. I am sure my ex husband tried it too, but never said anything. I also tried my son's baby food too. If my baby is going to eat it, then I want to see what it tastes like.

Myself, my ex-husband, and my mom all tried my milk. If it's good enough for the baby's sole source of nutrition.... KWIM? It's really sweet-tasting.

I never tried it myself, but I've heard of many people trying it.

I know my BIL accidentally put my sister's breast milk in his coffee once - his face was priceless!!!!

It kind of give me the skeevies thinking of anyone else drinking my milk, but to each his own. I know some people go as far as to make butter with it. Shouldn't creep me out, but I would die if I found out the butter I was eating at someone else's house was made with their breastmilk! :x

DH tried it first (in a glass). He said it tasted like honeydew melon/cantaloupe. I tried it for the same reasons as Selena.

Like Leanne, though, I don't want to try someone else's milk.

My husband and I have tried it, but just a drop to see what it was like. I don't pump, so there isn't any to use like in cooking or for a significant drink.

Lol, this reminds me of the baby shower game, "name that baby food"
You are blindfolded and have to taste the food and guess what it is.
It's gross. All of it. Lol.

I never tried it but I DH tried the colostrum with our second baby. My milk would never let down so I was not able to breast feed or for him to try it. But if my milk would have let down I am sure he would have tried it as well.

I did not "drink" mine, but I touched my pinky to it and tasted it. It tasted like the milk leftover after you eat your cereal!
Now I also tasted the baby food I made and even the jarred stuff when I had to buy it

Isn't it funny how we don't think twice about drinking milk from the udder of some random cow? Whatever we get used to is normal I guess! I've never tried mine either, don't know if I'd really be curious enough to work up the courage. Isn't that silly? :-)

I may, idk? I don't think it's that big of a deal. It's milk after all. and we DO drink milk from cows. Although, I do have to agree with everyone else on drinking someone else's milk. No thanks.

I've tried it by putting some on my finger, but not by drinking it. DH wouldn't try it! It's sweet tasting.
