I haven't read it, but I've heard good things. I'd also recommend anything by Dr. Sears and Beyond the Sling by Mayim Bialik.

It actually talks a lot about points brought up in the CIO thread. It talks about how babies feel when they are born and how to calm a crying baby, especially how to calm a colicky baby. I'm not a doctor so I don't know about his theories of colic, but his ideas and methods for soothing a crying baby make sense based on my experience working with babies and from what I've learned about fetal development while pregnant.

I like that book and will probably read it again. None of the techniques in the book worked for Evan, well ssshhing did, but I couldnt do it while I slept so it only worked sometimes. I agree good read.

I've never heard of it, but just wanted to add that my middle daughter was very colicky and it was the worst experience I have ever had. Nothing we did, and nothing her pediatrician recommended helped. Hoping no one here has a colicky baby.
