My BFF has advised me not to wash everything I receive at the shower - especially if there is a gift receipt. Instead to wash as I go and need things - and then return the stuff I don't use. She had opened and washed everything and then had to give away half the stuff she received at her shower
I bought these with DS and they ended up being just a lot of extra work. Honestly, babies don't stay in sizes that long to even bother organizing things to this extreme.
@Becky...I washed everything and I agree. Washing everything makes you feel tons more prepared, but there was probably a lot of things I could have returned if I didn't. This time DH is making sure any clothes we buy or get the tags stay on until we get closer and he's arrived!
Thanks for the tip, Becky! I'd be the one washing everything to be prepared, but it makes a lot more sense to keep it in store condition so you can possibly return it. Besides, who needs to wash clothes 6 months before the baby is big enough to wear them anyways?
