Are any other babies whining 24/7? It just started about a week ago, for the most part we no longer fuss much just a pitiful little whine ALL the time. She whines while I hold her, when I feed her... inbetween letdowns .... when she's laying down, in her bouncer, on her tummy.... She may stop for a minute or so (or not depending) when I change what she's doing, but for the most part it's just alot of whining. She will smile and laugh if I play peek-a-boo with her or blow raspberries on her tummy so I know nothing is seriously wrong.... but one can't play peek-a-boo all day long, and even that only works for awhile.

She is teething and is seeming to get- Molars! first.... poor girl. So that could be it.... I just miss my little coos and babbling.

I have never encouraged the Whine so I'm not sure where she learned it. (i.e. never gave what she wanted while whining... made her stop beforehand.) I am doing baby sign language with her and hope it takes soon so I can understand what she's trying to say.

Any others?

Poor thing! I heard molars are the worst! We haven't had this; she'll occasionally whine but not all the time. I hope she gets back to her old self soon

Ellie has started whining when she's trying to figure out how to "crawl" or get to an object that's just out of reach. I think she's just starting to teeth because she's been grumpy with saliva and runny nose.

But the whining happens when I put her in her jumperoo, if I lay her down and she wakes up right away, if I put her down on the ground to do chores...she seems to be happy the most when she is sitting on a hip or in a lap.

I kinda wish Robby would whine instead of the full-blown screaming he seems to do every time things are not going his way, lol!

I'm real sorry, and I hope she cheers back up soon. I'm sure it's just a short phase! Maybe once her molars poke through, she'll go back to her cheerful, content self.

Claire has been whiny lately and it's really annoying. My MIL is here this week so I'm wondering if it's because there's a change in her routine. That or her teeth. Who knows. She's also fighting sleep which definitely contributes to the whining. She's started doing this really dramatic cry if she sees me and I ignore her or walk away from her. It's so obviously fake and she will usually smile if I turn around and pick her up.
