Do you give you baby or plan to give your baby organic food?

I hesitate to ask why or why not because I don't want to create animosity. Also, this is one of the topics I am really passionate about. I don't judge other people for decisions they make, but I love talking about food.

We went organic with Kid the First, and will do so again this time around. We eat locally & organically whenever possible - it's important to us.

We made a lot of our own food, but also used Sprout brand packaged stuff. I won't feed my kids anything I wouldn't eat, and theirs was pretty tasty.

Organic and I plan to make most of her food. I'm putting her on a heart healthy diet from the start and I want to start off with the most nutritious foods.

I'm making her food, some of it will be local from the farmer's market and some will be produce from the grocery store, just depends what I can find where.

Same as Shanirah -- we're making our own food with a mix of local & grocery store produce.

I am surprised at how many people are making their own food. Its been 7 years since I've had a baby and wit my son it never occurred to me to make his food, but for this baby it's been the opposite. Cloth diapering was also a lot more difficult then or I should say no as easy as it is now.

My son was formula fed normal formula, given normal jarred baby food and all that jazz and for the most part has been perfectly healthy. I've just had a change in philosophy since then. Part of me feels bad that hills baby is breasted and will be eating organic food from he beginning and he wasn't. I don't usually waste time on regret, but this almost feels like that.

There's nothing to feel bad about at all. As long as they're both getting your LOVE, that's the important part!

I always make baby food. I make it a point to never feed the kids something I wouldn't eat and that jarred baby food is nasty. I don't really do organic, though I would lke to. I need to start going to the farmers market here.

I honestly haven't thought much about it. I got a baby food maker at my baby shower so I was considering making my own but I don't know if I'm doing organic or normal jar baby food

Organic and homemade! We did about half homemade (not always organic) for dd and half jarred.

It also never occurred to me with my older two to make their baby food. But, I really caught the "bug" to do so with Ethan. I actually find it to be fun to see his reactions to the foods I make for him and knowing that they taste better and hopefully are more nutritious for him than the jarred food is an added bonus. I'm not against jarred food though and will still go with it if in a pinch. Organic isn't a big deal for me. I will use whatever I can find between farmer's markets and my local grocery store. We have a couple of locally owned grocery stores who buy local produce so that's a plus.
