Luke Henry was born Fri. Aug. 24th at 11:35 am. He weighed 6lbs 8oz and was 20in long. He has a head full of dark brown hair and is such a good baby. We are in love. Our 3 girls have been so good and constantly want to hold him & hover over him!
I did not need to be induced. Ended up at the hospital in labor 5 hrs before I was scheduled to be there. Labor went well and needed no pitocin. He was so low & my waters bulging that they did not check me much until I got 2 rounds of antibiotics since I was GBS+. Dr. finally broke my water and he came soon after. I was at the hospital almost 12hrs before he was born but had my water been broken, he would have come much sooner. All was waiting on the antibiotics. It took the nurses 7 sticks with the needle before they were able to get an i.v. in. It took an hr! My arms look like a pin cushion. The contractions & pain was much different from my previous 3 labors but I think it was because he came out with his face facing to the inside of my leg.
We came home Sun. He is bf well. The first 24 hrs were hard going because he didn't want to eat or latch on. He still takes a little time latching on but he definitely wants to eat! My milk started coming in Sun. evening.
I will probably be mia for a while as Luke has his days & nights mixed up right now and with school, the girls & the mountains of laundry, I am so tired I can barely see straight let alone get computer time!
Contests! Glad all is well for you and Luke....cute name! I know the human pin cushion feeling...I left the hospital after my second was born looking like I had been beaten...my arms were every Color of the rainbow after they blew one of my veins. I have also had a baby come our sideways and that ain't a walk in the park either. Hope you get some rest and that he gets those nights figured out asap!
