He just called me, on a Sunday, on a holiday weekend, from his personal cell phone to see how things were looking today. Talk about caring about patients! Awesome!

Glad he is checking in on you. Are you feeling any better today?

Yeah. I was there last night again and got two turb shots along with 1.5 bags of IV fluids and being forced to drink 2 liters of water. He checked me and, erm... shop is still closed up tight so that's good. He told me that if there's any progress at all though that I have to go to the bigger hospital in the city- I go to a small town hospital right now. Today has gone pretty well with just back pain, cramping, and 3 contractions so that's good news.

I kind of wish I could just do the turb shots at home.

I'm really sorry to hear you are going through all of this. What an awesome doc to call on a holiday weekend!

If you do go early, you will want to be at a big hospital so you can be in the same hospital as your baby. I go to the hospital one town over(not too far I know) but they have the ability to care for as young as 26 weeks preemies so when my last dd(who was fullterm) was born and did not catch her breath right, they were able to keep her there rather than take her 1-4 hours away to a bigger hospital. It's tough enough with them not in your room. I can't imagine being stuck in the hospital and the baby so far away. I obviously hope it won't be an issue for you at all but if it is, you want to be there too most likely.
