We have had it in his bottles since he was about a month old, due to reflux. I started spoon feeding it to him last month (1 tbsp. 2-3x a day) before a small bottle, and he LOVED it.

Will you be putting it in the bottle or spoon feeding?

The WIC office says, no cereal til 4 mths and not to put it in the bottle, to spoon feed it.

let me tell you know i dont follow directions well... my boys both had cereal at 3 mth due to reflux, their ped gave me the go ahead on it and they did great.

I gave Raini a tiny amount in her bottle last night to see if she'd take it and she did. now im trying to decide if I wanna give her another cereal bottle at bedtime to see if it'll help her sleep through the night.

I was just looking for some thoughts on it.

I am not starting until 6 months unless he needs them earlier. With DS1 I tried to get him to sleep better and it made no difference. This little guy sleeps great without cereal and it is so much less trouble. I will wait

Our pediatrician mentioned that we would talk about it at his 4 month appointment. Although I might decide to wait till 6 months. He is doing just fine with the formula for now.

We don't use cereal, as it has no nutritional value. We'll start solids starting with mashed avocado no earlier that 6-7 months.

Pax has been spoon fed cereal since....10 weeks? He was eating 47 oz a day - was up to 40oz a day BY FOUR WEEKS...we started giving him 1TBSP of barley or oatmeal and we went from 47oz a day to 32oz a day. He stays so much fuller and happier. It wasn't to get him to sleep at night or anything like that...he was giving us like 5 hours then 4 hours so it was no big deal, but I couldn't stand how hungry he was during the day.

He loves it - he talks the whole time and takes big chomps of cereal - hilarious.

probably no cereal here. I think we will go straight to table food when he gets interested. I just made a practice batch of applesauce this weekend. it turned out pretty good! I plan on making some for him and canning it or freezing it for when he is ready.

Jocelyn gets 2tsps in every bottle due to her reflux. We will probably start cereal after her 4 month appointment, just like we did with DD1.

Haven't really thought about it. Luckily Jax is fine on what she is getting so far and hasn't shown any interest in food. My niece didn't like cereal at all but maybe Jax will.

No cereal here. I won't be starting any foods until closer to 7 months. I've been told the earlier you introduce any kind of foods to your baby the higher the chance of food allergies. So I'm paranoid lol. FTM haha
