I had my 38 week appointment today and he gave me the option today of being checked, and if I was starting to dilate he said we could start moving things along. I was kinda surprised since this is the same doctor that let me go 42 weeks with my last pregnancy. I wasn't prepared for that question today. He said it's fine to wait and see a little longer of course and he wasn't being pushy at all. I have my next appointment on Monday and I'll probably have him check me and if I'm progressing then we may try to get something lined up for the end of next week. That way my husband can take off work and we can get my mom down here to help with the older kids. It's all starting to feel a bit more real now! Of course if she decides to come on her own before that, that's fine, but at least I'm not going to be waiting for 42 weeks before things get going hopefully. He did say that I would need to be dilated some to go ahead though, so I guess I could still have to wait a while.

I'm due in 11 days, and we'll see what happens over the next few days I guess!

Oh, and I've lost a little weight since last week. Nothing was said about it. My BP continues to be a bit low, but not a worry I guess.

At this point I'm feeling much better knowing that we're close. I'm not pushing for being induced, but I suddenly feel like we have the end in sight. It would be nice to sorta have an idea of when the birth will be since I have to get my mom into town from an hour away and she doesn't drive herself that far. Plus my husband wants to give them a little notice since he's taking a week off and there's really no one covering for him. I really want things to happen naturally, but for some reason this talk makes me feel better.

Doctors are so strange. I never know what to expect with mine. With my daughter I had two doctors. With this pregnancy I occasionally see the same one I saw when i was pregnant with my her and he is completely different with this pregnancy. 11 days is so close! (even though i'm sure it doesn't feel that way) Good luck hope all goes well for you!
