Ultrasound went good Baby girl was measuring a little big at 7lbs 8oz but it just upped my Due Date to 10/11/12. Tech also commented on how super low she was while trying to get a good measurement of her brain. She had to press really low on my pelvic bone which hurt and made me have to pee at the same time.
Doctor came in and said he didn't see the cord around her neck anymore!! Yay!
Told me that while my blood sugar is staying in good range with controlled diet I don't need extra NST's or U/S's unless something changes.
Overall good experience, happy that I don't have to drive a town over just to do short uneventful appointments. SO STRESSFUL!
OB appointment went good too. My doctor told me that if I didn't go into labor on my own that he would like to induce between 39-40 weeks because of my GD and family history of BIG babies (we're talking 9-10 lb babies on both sides) He'll look at dates and DH and I can discuss and also do a general idea of when would be ideal for us. That means unless I go into labor baby girl will be here in TWO WEEKS! OMG! PRE BABY JITTERS HAVE SET IN. I'm so scared girls! of everything! Changes with DH and I, the challenges, the LABOR. I don't want to be scared or nervous, I want to be excited like I have been! GRR.
Anyways. OB didn't check me today and said he would check next monday. He asked if I'd like to be checked but just didn't feel up to it after running errands all day.
OH AND..... My weight is staying consistent! I've actually dropped a couple of pounds with my GD diet. Such a freaking relief to not see my weight jump up 10 to 20 lbs each appt!!
Sorry so long, just a lot to update, lots of hormones...!
So glad to hear your appt's went well! As for the pre-baby jitters... I remember having ALL the same feelings as you leading up to Josiah's birth! When the actual day comes, no matter how nervous you are, you will quickly get focused, and going through your L&D with your husband will be such a special moment in your relationship. Not to mention the PRIZE you get at the end of it all!!!! Enjoy these last two weeks
Thank you, I'm trying! Lots of bubble baths and naps etc. And I really hope I can come out of it and not focus on anything negative when baby time comes. I really am excited for her to get here, I just don't think im delusional about the work that comes with a cute baby like a lot of other young FTMs. So I tend to freak myself out a lot
Glad you had a good appt and believe me, I am right there with you as far as freaking out! It's like I go to my appts hoping for some progress, but I freak out about the progress LOL! It doesn't make any sense. I am soooo nervous about her arrival but at the same time just want her to be here already
