We were strolling through the grocery store when DH looked down and noticed that DD's bottom lip was slightly cracked. What do you think is the best thing to use on a baby's dry lips?

I have chronically dry lips and have to apply lip balm several times a day to stop them from splitting and bleeding. So I'm scared of giving her something that might create a dependency on lip balm.

I've heard good things about this - but it's spendy. I tend to go chemical-free and use natural ingredients, but I know that there's all kinds of stuff out there. Boudreaux's (the people who make Butt Paste) makes a lip balm, and I think Maybelline even has one for babies!

I might need to get some for winter, the high altitude makes it a necessity
