I mostly work from home; I plan to take two weeks totally off, not even look at a work email, just bond with baby & DH. Then I plan to work for a week or two until my family from the UK are here (mid-November for a few weeks), then work a couple weeks in December, take more time off over Christmas, and then finally settle back into working full time (but from home) in the New Year.
So: 2 weeks totally off, followed by 10 weeks part time, then back to work
I am mostly a SAHM. I work about 3 hours a week doing bookkeepiing and payroll for DH's business, but I do it at home, so that probably won't be interrupted much. I also work about 2-4 hours a week coaching the college equestrian team, but the co-coach will be doing my lessons till I feel like returning, then I'll be back. I can take the baby to that and coach from the bench with my headset anyway, so it's not a big deal.
I started my (unpaid) leave this week and will be off until the second week in January. It will be tough with bills and all but DH will be able to support us. Wish so badly I could be a SAHM, at least the first two years or so, but we just couldn't afford it.
I am taking off the 29th of October thru the 8th of January. I sort of want to take longer maybe 6 months but I'm not sure we can afford it, or my job will let me. I love my job a lot, but I might need to switch to nights to so that childcare isn't an issue, but SO isn't really down with thy either..
I am a SAHM and I own my own business. I only work when DH or my mother in law can watch the kids. I have booked a shoot for the end of Oct and I have some work in November, but I am keeping it very light! I want to spend as much time as possible with my little man!
I am a SAHM. We don't have the money to put three kids (let alone one!!) in daycare anyway! However, I just kicked off my correspondence courses again, so I'm not really getting time "off" after the baby is born anyway, LOL.
