How strong is the placenta? Sometimes Caleb is kicking so hard I swear he's going to bust out of there. The baby can't break through the placenta, even if he's very active, right?

I don't know medically for sure, but I would say no lol

After DD was born the doctor asked me if I wanted to see the placenta, and I said sure. He held it up for us and stretched it apart and everything showing me all the different parts and it didn't tear, rip, break or anything - and that was when it was already pushed out of my body!

Its like diamond coated Teflon, Lucy.

Or at least that’s how I envision it in my mind, inasmuch as I too have the same problem with my active demon child. BW2 is, for lack of a better term, a SPICY meatball.

Stupid amniotic fluid…buffer darn you! Buffer!

I was envisioning it like seran wrap, so I'm glad it's more like strong armor I hadn't heard of a baby actually breaking free from kicking, but I just wanted to make sure. He is an active guy in there, which I LOVE that he's so full of life... but I'm a little concerned that he's never going to sleep when he arrives.
