So last night after we went to bed, I asked DH if he was excited about the baby. (He never seems to get excited about it) and he said Yes, but he was also worried about stuff.
I told him, "Don't worry, we won't get rid of your dog. Even if we have to put him in the kennel while the baby is out."
He said, "Why can't we just put the baby in the kennel?" I got the giggles thinking about that, and he tried to make it sound better- "We'll put in blankets, and pillows and make it cozy and everything. The baby won't mind at all."
"Well, that sounds suspiciously like the start of Child Abuse..... Putting a baby in a dog kennel."
He said, "It'd be like a play-pen, what's the difference?"
That set me off again into giggles, I must have laughed for like 10 minutes. "Why don't we just put the baby in a play-pen?"
Long silence, then finally, "Oh. Could do that."
