I just started thinking about the fact that if I do make it to my induction date that I have to be at the hospital at 4:30 in the morning. It will be the Monday after Thanksgiving and I will already be worn out so I sure hope my alarm gets me up. I really don't want to be super tired the day of induction just because I had to be there so stinkin early. I will have to leave the house around 3:30 and the kids don't get on the bus until 6:30 or so and Elijah can't be at daycare until 7:00. I guess it is time to start trying to figure out the logistics of it all. Now would be the time for all of the pre-term labor issues to actually cause labor! If doing jumping jacks and going for a run wouldnt cause a heart attact beause of my BP I would be willing to try it.

Why so freaking early? here I thought 530am was bad.
I couldnt do that. That is too early.

I know here they do a 530am induction but you dont have to be there until 530am. But they schedule a 7am one first.

Hoping if I schedule an induction I get the 7am or 1pm time.

I about fell out when they called and told me the time. I would be better off going in the night before. They could just start my IV and give me an Ambien so I would be ready for the next morning. If there were a hotel nearby I would definately be getting a room. I went in the night before with the other 3 and it all worked out great. I think I need to have a heart to heart with my Dr Monday and just tell him that it is not possible. Even if I had to be there at 7 I'm sure the babysitter would let Elijah come a little early. I am not even going to ask her if I can drop him off at 3:30.

I am with you on this one! I have to be there at 5 am for 7 am C-section. Had to do the same with Pascale and I was so worried I'd oversleep and nervous I literally just stayed up all night. When she had breathing issues, I was so screwed on sleep. I didn't get sleep more than an hour at a time(was pumping & feeding & visiting every 3 hours) for the first week, broke out into hives, had fever blisters on my mouth and NOSE. All this because my immune system was jacked from being exhausted. Anyway, try to get as much sleep as possible the day before you go in and try to rest when you get to the hospital before the labor kicks into high gear. It always seems like just when you are ready for bed is when labor starts anyway lol. Hope you can get some rest before it all starts this time around.

I asked my midwife about taking something to help me sleep but she said it could affect the baby's breathing and response at the birth. I normally use my trazodone but not sure I am even allowed that so I need to ask again. I am also very nervous about this time issue :/

Wow, that's so early! That doesn't make it very convenient for those with other kids. Having to get them up and take them to someone's house if needed.

Ask for an ambien to take at home...just be sure to take it early if you can and go to bed early if you can. Why don't you schedule babysitters as if you were going in the night before. We are sending our girls to my ILs the night before, regardless of if when go in that night or in the morning. Just makes it easier for us to not have to worry about them that early...last time we had to be there at 5:30.

We dont have anyone willing to watch them overnight so DH has to stay with them. He can't drive so he can get the big 2 on the bus but can't take Elijah to daycare or get to the hospital. I may ask for an Ambien for home. I'm just worried about oversleeping.

I hate having to take something but it is so hard for me to sleep at a different time than my body is used to. I take tylenol pm every night to slow me down some so I know taking it wont make me tired enough to go to sleep really early. Does trazidone not make you get up to pee every 5 seconds? I took it for a few months and would wake up 3 or 4 times at night to go pee which is vert hard when you are groggy. It did the same thing to Jarrett too.

LOL No wonder I have to pee so dang much! I just figured it was the pregnancy I guess there's no way to no but at least it's better than seroquel...that will make you sleep through and pee yourself haha. It just knocks me out like crazy. But trazodone doesn't put me out too much actually or make me groggy. I am really hard to put down and can/will stay up for days. I know what you mean about trying to sleep at a different time. When I get my schedule off, I have one hell of a time getting back on track. I'd be better off with 30 hour days honestly.
